Posted by Yogi_12 on 14 Apr 2003 14:41 I have this drive in my new Latitude C840 I uninstalled Roxio Easy Cd & Installed Nero. I would suggest that getting new drivers (updated) is probably fine but what will more than likely fix the problem is to upgrade the firmware for the drive. i have a samsung cdrw/dvd sn-324b and it can't read cd's! I'd suggest that you go there and see if there are more current drivers, and if there are any firmware upgrades available. The Samsung drive writes my iso file or a direct copy from an other cd-rom directly to my empty cdr. So, I'm not really sure that this would fix the problem in my case...unncessary firmware updates are good things to avoid.

It's like "Justlink", is not functioning. I reboot my pc and now my cdrw/dvd isn't working at alll. Get the proper info on firmware and how to install it.
